Global Volunteers' projects are hosted formally through several schools in the municipal school districts of the Puglia region of the country. Some of the towns we serve include Monopoli, Manduria, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Carovigno, Locorotondo, Brindisi, and Francavilla Fontana.
In 2004, Global Volunteers was honored by the school district in celebration of the 100th team to Italy. Bud Philbrook, Global Volunteers' Co-founder and CEO, attended the event which made local and national headlines.
