How much free time is there during the program?
Ample time is available after the work day and on weekends to enjoy the numerous nearby natural and cultural attractions.
What are free time options?
 Some of the attractions in Hódmezõvásárhely are the Bethlen Gabor grammar school, which houses an antique library of over 25,000 volumes; the 18-century Calvinist Church; the Alfoldi Art Gallery, showing the folk arts of the Great Plain; a small archaeological museum; a Baroque Greek Orthodox church; and an Art Nouveau synagogue that somehow survived the war.
Hódmezõvásárhely is also known for pottery, with each district of town having a different style. The Csucs Potter's House and the Folk Culture House will probably be visited by many volunteers to view the finest examples of the designs.

No. Because Global Volunteers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, our team leaders and consultants are not permitted to make non-program-related arrangements for you, but can provide general guidance and advice, including a list of activities explored and enjoyed by previous teams. Most volunteers wait until they are with the team to plan activities with their team mates.
