SIX EASY STEPS TO SERVING
  1. Select the type of project or region of the world that most interests you.
  2. Check your calendar. Select service program dates most convenient for you.
  3. Submit your application by: Calling a volunteer coordinator at (800) 487-1074, or fill out a secure online application or print out a text application and send it in by mail or fax. You may submit your $350 deposit by check or major credit card.
  4. We will send you a "Volunteer Manual" and email you informational forms to complete. Complete and return the forms. Upon receiving the requested information and personal references, we will accept and process your application.
  5. Renew your passport, if required, and make your travel arrangements. You can use your own travel agency, or find a trusted travel agent through the America Society of Travel Agents at http://www.travelsense.org/search/agentsearch.asp.
  6. Pay the balance of your U.S. tax-deductible service program fee, due 75 days prior to your departure.
